Chester County Massage Therapy-
William M. Bryan ncmt is a nationally certified massage therapist who specializes in helping people overcome the effects of unhealthy stress through various therapeutic massage and body-work techniques, such as STR (soft tissue release), Accupressure and Thai Massage.
His clients have experienced relief from headaches (including migraine), carpal tunnel syndrome, rotator cuff injuries, and the general aches that come from lives that are busy and over worked.
He also provides On-Site Seated massage in the corporate setting, and offers workshops on stress management and self-help massage techniques.
My massage therapy clients come to me hoping to finally get some results. Many have been to their doctors already, and have had all the tests, x-rays and MRIs, but their chronic pain continues. That’s where I come in.
Pain is often the result of injuries to soft-tissue such as skeletal muscle, tendons and ligaments. These injuries do not show up on x-rays, and must be functionally assessed. So when someone says to me “I don’t know what to do . . . all the tests come back negative, but I’m still in pain!”, I say “Good! The tests are negative! That means that it’s nothing major, like a tumor or a fracture. So now that we know what it isn’t, let’s begin exploring the muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia.” Nine times out of ten, we find the problem and solve it!
Most massage therapists learn one type of massage, and that’s it. They do what they do very well, but are limited in what they can offer their clients. For this reason, I study and draw from a broad base of massage and bodywork techniques. Avoiding the more esoteric approaches to alternative health, I focus mainly upon those techniques which can demonstrate measurable results at relieving pain through massage therapy.
